Why We Need Your Old Phone
Future @I apps run on real devices — not emulators. To ensure every app works perfectly across as many phones as possible, we need physical devices for live testing.
If you have an old phone sitting in a drawer gathering dust, you can donate it to our development lab. In return, you will receive free app subscriptions as a thank-you.
We test on real hardware because real users do not use emulators. Every donated phone helps us catch bugs and build better apps for everyone.
What We Accept
Phones and tablets from the past 5 years that meet ALL of the following:
- Minimum 8 GB RAM
- Must power on and hold a charge
- Must connect to a PC via USB (charging and data transfer)
- Cracked screens are acceptable — provided you can still navigate to Settings → Developer Options
- Must include a working charging/data cable in good condition (no frayed or damaged cables)
- Android devices only (no iPhones — our apps are Android-first)
We do not accept:
- Phones more than 5 years old
- Phones with less than 8 GB RAM
- Phones that will not power on or charge
- Phones without a cable (we do not have spare cables)
- Devices with water damage
- Devices with carrier or FRP locks that prevent a factory reset
IMPORTANT: Back up all your data before sending. Every donated device will be factory reset on arrival. We are not responsible for any data left on the device.
What You Receive
TIER 1 — Standard Device (8 GB+ RAM)
Reward: 1 free app of your choice — 3-month max plan
Any qualifying phone or tablet
TIER 2 — Power Device (16 GB+ RAM)
Reward: 2 free apps of your choice — 6-month max plan each
Any qualifying phone with 16 GB RAM or above
TIER 3 — Ultra Device (24 GB RAM)
Reward: 3 free apps of your choice — 2-year max plan each
Must be ONE of the following:
• ASUS ROG Phone (24 GB RAM) — latest model or up to 2 years old
• RedMagic (24 GB RAM) — latest model or up to 2 years old
No other 24 GB device qualifies for Tier 3
Notes:
• One donation per Google account. No exceptions.
• Rewards are activated after we receive and verify the device — not before.
• If your device does not meet the requirements, we will contact you by email. You may pay for return shipping, or forfeit the device. No reward is issued for non-qualifying devices.
• Failing to include a working cable, or sending a damaged cable, will reduce your reward tier by one level.
• Non-compliance with requirements (incorrect RAM, will not charge, missing cable) may reduce or void your reward.
How It Works
- Check Your DeviceGo to Settings → About Phone. Verify your phone has 8 GB+ RAM and is less than 5 years old. Take a screenshot — you will need it.
- Fill In the Donation FormProvide your name, email, phone make and model, RAM size, age, and upload a screenshot of the About Phone screen.
- Ship It to UsOnce we review your submission, we will email you a shipping address. You are responsible for postage costs (we are a small team and cannot cover shipping at this time).
- We Verify ItWe will factory reset the device, verify it powers on, charges, and connects via USB, confirm the RAM and model, and add it to the testing lab.
- You Receive Your RewardWithin 48 hours of verification, we will activate your free app subscription(s). You will receive a confirmation email with your licence key(s).
Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to pay for postage?
Yes. We are a small team and are not yet able to cover shipping costs. Thank you for your understanding.
What happens to my phone once you receive it?
It will be factory reset and added to our physical testing lab. We use it to test apps on real hardware.
Can I donate more than one phone?
One donation per Google account. If you have multiple qualifying devices, please email support@futureati.app.
What if my phone does not qualify after you receive it?
We will contact you by email. You may pay for return postage, or forfeit the device. No reward is issued for non-qualifying devices.
Can I donate an iPhone?
Not at this time. Our apps are Android-first, so we only need Android devices.
How long until I receive my reward?
Within 48 hours of device verification. You will receive an email with your licence key(s).
